This World Polio Day, #EndPolio with Communications

Every now and then, the Blimp team is challenged with exciting but challenging opportunities to create long lasting impact. We are a diverse pool of marketing & communication professionals and technology enthusiasts with an eye for detail and a hunger for creativity. We use digital tools, collective expertise, brainstorming, lots of hard work and caffeine to create the most appropriate solutions to achieve complex goals.

Our portfolio is no different than our team: versatile and distinguished. One of the recent projects that we take immense pride in was the development of the Polio Eradication Initiative website, across the border, for Afghanistan supported by UNICEF. The experience of contributing to such a pressing cause, through technology and the combined expertise of our team, we felt a great sense of achievement and intrinsic motivation.

Our expertise of working in the healthcare communication industry combined with our understanding of the target audience gives us unique insight. We used this to plan, design and develop the website using design thinking techniques resulting in a simple and easy to use website that is easy to navigate with support for multiple languages including Darri and Pashto.

The website is developed on the latest available version of Drupal at the time and uses Facebook, Twitter & Flickr APIs to fetch dynamic content, making the website evergreen and requires minimum effort from the PEI Afghanistan team to keep it up to date.

We strongly believe that the solution to some of the world’s most complex problems lie in well thought out insight-based communication strategies. On this Polio Day, we are immensely proud of this contribution to the global cause of ending polio for good and dedicate this effort to the hard working men and women that are fighting polio on the ground.
